You need to put sox.exe into the same folder as the poiLoader.exe file. |

1. Download a copy of sox.exe from my dropbox HERE
2. Open your Downloads folder and right click on sox.exe and chose 'Copy'.
3. Open 'My Computer' and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\POI Loader.
4. In that folder you should see POILOader.exe listed.
5. Click in an empty space in the folder and 'Right click ~ Paste'
7. Run poiloader in the way that you do to get the cams on the stick.
If you are not using POILoader, what EXACTLY are you doing to get the camera alerts to work (with no voices)?
Note: If you cannot see the .exe at the end of the filename, don't wory, but more importantly, don't add it. If you want to see file extensions then in Explorer (My Computer) Click on the View tab and select (tick) 'File name extensions'. This is for W10, but it can be done differently in earlier versions of Windows.
If you have a MAC, hard luck, I can't help. |

Sorry didn't read the notes at bottom
I think i have done it yes i ticked the box so the poiloader.exe up near the top.
went to the side clicked paste now the sox.exe file is at the bottom is that correct.
So now just loaded it all on to stick. Do i have to delete the other one on the unit or just put the stick in the usb port . Will this just override the one that is already on unit. hope this make sense. It says on the stick Garman then poi then poi.gpi opened poi.gpi shows 1462kb hope this makes sense to you will this have everything i need now.?? |

By default, new files go at the bottom, but if you refresh they will then normally be in alphabetical order. Quote: | So now just loaded it all on to stick. Use the 'Reply' button at the bottom of the page instead of the 'Quote' button unless you need to quote bits to get stuff in context as I have done. |

As posted, once you have POIloader installed just plonk the SOX.EXE in the same folder.

it should over write the old data. best to keep the USB stick inserted all the time as I find the alerts stop when removed. |

Followed instruction (with sox.ex in the poi folder), downloaded, unzipped, poi to SD Card, poi.gpi file in SD card, inserted SD Card into satnav .... nowt, zippo ..... I presume PocketGPSWorld does work on my device (Kenwood recommended it) .... any ideas pleeeease |

Your help is on the PGPSW database board, where you have posted the same question.
It's best to ask the same questions only in one place, just once, or the replies get muddled.
