Hello, Im needing help in the install of the Speed Cam database into my Tom Tom Go. I did copy the files the .ov2 and the .bmp fines into my Great Britian folder within the memory disk, disabled the other POI's and Im still not getting the database to work. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks all

Hi Danny, have you gone into the maintain poi section and then enable poi, this should show the "pocket GPS gatso's" make sure it is ticked. Same goes for the red light one if you have installed that as well. Hope this helps. |

Hi, Thanks kindly for replying. Yes I have gone into my main POI section and can't see it listed in order as the others are. Im somewhat surprised all the files aren't susposed to be included with the ov2 and the bmp's but clearly Im doing something wrong. At this stage I feel like I have folled the directions to the letter. Any advice would be great.

Hi Dan, the way i did this was to unzip them to my desktop then bring up your GO in your list of drives, then open it until you get to the great britain folder then just drag the ov and bmp files over.
After this just do as i said before and make sure the file is ticked.
If this dosent work then perhaps try a reset - that little hole underneath.
Hope this helps you fix your problem. |

Im feeling pretty stupid now. Checked my efforts a bizillion times and Im not getting anywhere. The files ( 8 ) of them, 4 .bmp and 4 .ov2 are in their proper folder. What I have noticed is that many of the files are only 150 bits each so I wondering if my files are correct. They are in the the Great-Britain-Map folder. All my other poi's are turned off. Also the memory chip that came with the Tom Tom Go is nearly full so I can't even up grade it to 4.40. Currently Im at 4.2. I have reset the unit. I lossing faith. Im not seeing other like files to even get a clue if perhaps Im putting these file in the wrong place. I know this works, I have been reading all the posts from those who are liking this feature I will to phone call anyone who will let me. Thanks again Oz.

Dan
You must upgrade to 4.40 before the POIs will work!
To make room on your card you must delete the unwanted foreign language voice files first.
The option to do this (one at a time) is included in the upgrade program. |

Nice one Dan, it didn't occur to me to tell you about wiping voice files, i had to do the same, and of course without the new firmware update you wouldn't get anywhere as you found out.
Anyway glad you have it sorted. |

It always works out if you keep trying. Now Im wondering what the essentials would be for the Tom Tom Go. Kind of like the listing in palmgear.com Now Im hooked. You see, Im new here in the UK just moved here from America and I have to travel alot within the UK and this Tom Tom Go has saved my !$% big time. Any suggestion are welcome, and then I promise to leave you guys alone!
