|
|
now here's something that has driven me potty today.
i have been able in the past to 'add community content' to my GO5100 (its a list of my customers) via the TYRE program. i used to right click the MyDrive Connect icon in my system tray and the option was there.
it no longer is. there are just 3 options (view updates, settings and quit).
when i connect my Via 130 to the same computer and right click the same system tray icon i am showed the all important 4th option of 'add community content'.
i'm not going mad, until recently (last couple of months at most) i have had this 4th option available to my GO5100 but now its not there. can anybody enlighten me as i desperately need to update my customer database on the GO5100. the GO5100 is showing on the computer screen as connected. it accepts the map correction updates etc, it's just this that is missing - or is it me!!!
many thanks. |

The weird thing is that it did work last time I needed to use this (around 2 months ago). I don't see what has changed to make this menu option disappear for the GO5100 but still remain for the VIA 130? |

Think I may have to call tomtom CS but can't imagine them being much help about it! |

Tomtom CS will confirm that you actually ARE going mad, so don't kid yourself. They will tell you all the solutions - they won't work, so tell them you've already done that (soft reset, hard reset, reinstall all the software and systems, take two paracetamols and a slug of gin). _________________ Dennis

hi
thanks for links dhn (i will watch these asap).
UPDATE.
many thanks dhn. that video link sorted it for me. i must have had a senior moment because that is the method i used to originally put my custom poi's onto my GO5100 but had forgotten that and was attempting to do it the same way as with my VIA 130 ie by using the system tray option of adding community content (that i now know does not work for the 5100).
many thanks again. i have now successfully updated my customer poi list!! |
