|
|
Hi , with pgps speed cam database loaded and active on my garmin nuvi 42, when I trigger the speeding alert on screen (red banner showing speed limit) for more than about 10 seconds the screen freezes at that road position . The only way to cure this is to reset the sat nav. i.e. switch off and on again. This does not happen when using the Garmin pre installed data base . Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem? |

Never seen that on any of my nuvis. Have you tried a master reset? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

You need to get the file hosted somewhere (I use PhotoBucket) then post a link to the file on the forum.
You'll find the files in the Screenshot folder on your nuvi. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I haven't got a Nuvi42 but that red banner doesn't look like any PGPSW alert I've seen. _________________ DashCam:

That looks like the standard Garmin alert on those models. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

The red banner is the speed alert warning , if I was below the limit it would normally be a black banner saying speed camera alert . But over speeding freezes the screen at that point as you can see from the time and the speed on the right hand bar . This does not happen when the garmin database is used . |

Well as I said, that to me looks like the standard Garmin warning
What makes you think it's the PGPSW alert? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Because Ive got garmin safety cameras off in proximity point alerts and the only custom pois loaded are the pgps ones.If I turn the pgps ones off and the garmin ones on I don't suffer from screen freeze. I see this type of banner whichever dataset I use .Does this make sense ? |
