It's done by speed so you can do 10% + 2 or just raise each one by 1 or 2 mph.

What I've done is quite basic but if it works I can expand it quite easily.

I may be doing something wrong, but the help file says the photo links are broken?
Is this a known issue?

I think Im getting to grips with this program.
Its great and after using ASH's program for years it a big improvement.
A question, I am dragging the downloaded PGPSW file into my working directory, do I have to delete that file before dragging the new one in?
Or does the program see the new one automatically?

It will overwrite the first one if you keep the name the same. You then select it as before when you click on Unzip PGPSW Camera Files

I'm trying to decide whether to get a small Garmin (what's the smallest one they do?) or the RAC dash cam. I'm done trying to figure out the complexities of the Merc system, no matter what I try it's just not consistent enough.
Can you answer a couple of questions for me please Kremmen (or anybody).

Can I get a 100% guaranteed icon on the display for all POI alert based or not.
Can I get a guaranteed alert for every camera irrespective of my speed or what Garmin think I should be alerted to.

On the system in my old Audi and my Tom Tom before that, I had icons that populated the map so I could see them all over the display, and an alert as I approached one on my route. If I can replicate this on a Garmin, I think I'm leaning that way with the added incentive of the digital traffic.

What I was thinking to do is load 2 sets of the database, one just as a standard POI file with no alerts to populate the entire map with icons, and one with no icon files solely to generate the alerts at distances and wording of my choosing via Kremmens app.

If the icons are present as I'm moving that's fine, I don't intend scanning the map while stationary to look for them. Although Garmins own literature suggests that any non alert POI can be set as a destination, so I guess if I where to scroll around these would pop up? That's why I was thinking of loading the database twice, once with all alert trigger words and speed info removed.

Unfortunately I can't think of any way to test this without buying a Garmin :-/

I already have a dash cam, and the RAC one is attractive as it would just replace that without adding extra kit all over my screen/dash. But I have reservations over the update frequency and how configurable it is alert wise.

One more quick question. On my old TT I could 'add' POI on the device as I was moving with 2 clicks on the screen to save the lat and long, and then send that info (if it was a camera) to you guys. Can I do the same on a Garmin?

You can save current location by tapping the vehicle icon then Save.

I know you only really need a cheapo Garmin for the cameras but think about the traffic.

My Honda only has TMC RDS traffic which is crippled when compared to Garmins digital traffic.

I did a journey today (Eastbourne to Heathrow) via the A roads and Motorways and Garmin was considerably more accurate on the M25 which was a bit sticky in places this morning. As the traffic conditions changed the Garmin changed with them but the TMC display showed traffic for ages after it had cleared.
