Hi

Dell Axim Tom Tom 3

This is the first time I have tried to use the Sat nav but not with much luck so far. Set it up in my Car, planned a route but the Screen shows GPS Disabled, looked in the menu for a Sat signal but it appears not to be able to pick one up. I also have a Pharos iGPS-360 cf Card, the one you plug in to the top and apparently you can use it walking about but still no Signal?
How do I check to make sure everthing is set up properly so I can use it?
(be gentle with me)

Any and all advice would be really appreciated.

Cheers guys

- Soft reset your PDA
- tap Start > Settings > System > GPS
- go to the GPS tab and select your CF card from the bottom list. Select NMEA 38400 in the top list
- enable the GPS by tapping the checkbox
- go back to the Status tab and see if the black dots are running

let us know how it goes

If its the first time you have tried to get the SatNav working it does take about 30-45 minutes for a first fix, after that it will work within about 15-20 seconds.
