Hey guys,

Yes i know its a very old unit now but i have got it back out of the cupboard collecting dust.

The maps are old and it really needs updating. But is this unit capable of being updated now and running latest maps?

Any pointers in the right direction would be grateful.

Yes it can indeed be updated. Firstly download/install/connect (register) this device in TTHome http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7448/locale/en_gband let it incrementally update the navcore/application to the correct/current 7.901 then go to https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav/maps-services/shop/travel-map/ and take your pick

If you are using the EU maps may need a new memory card.

With the last boot loader for the V1&v2 it will accept 4gb SDHC cards
without that if you can find a 4gbSD (Not hc) it may work but it was hit and miss if the device recognised the card
