First of all I like to Hi to of you people as I am a new user to gps. Had the TTG on Saturday first job was to up date to 4.40 and the speed camera software which was no problem at all.
But would like know when you come accros speed cameras that are not in the data base how to plot where they are. and is there an easy way to do this |

Hi Gatso,
to the forum.
I don’t have a TTGO but I do have a PDA running TTNav 3.03. Please read the following link for information:

There is a way to add new POIs. If you wish to grab new cameras then you just use the “Add POI” function. You can then send the relevant speed camera .OV2 file to the following email address:
Cameras[AT]PocketGPSWorld[DOT]com

This is how I added 2 GATSOs in Denby Dale, Yorkshire. Drive up to the speed (sorry, safety) camera and park next to it (or as close as practicable). On the GO tap "Change preferences" click forward 1 page then tap "Maintain POI". Tap "Add POI", select a category - in my case "pocketgps uk gatso". On "Add as POI" screen tap the "GPS position" icon. Give POI a name (the default is the address where you are parked - tends to be a bit long so you may as well shorten it. Tap done and you're done.
Next time you drive past your new GATSO POI will look just like all the rest. |
