Apologies if this has been asked before,
I'm looking to replace my aged unit and need a sat nav with
:-
A Garmin with good size screen
Lifetime maps
ability to load & use "tyre" routes
and obviously load and run the speed camera database.
Any help greatly appreciated, Many thanks. Nigel. |

I would look for one that ends LMT-D as they give lifetime maps and digital traffic.
Your choice of 5" or 6" screen and AFAIK they all accept the database from here.
Tyre routes I've never heard of. _________________ Satnav:

My wife has the 2699LMT-D - it's very good and has a large screen.
Tyre will output to gpx files which you can load into it using many apps or directly if you wish. But think about using BaseCamp which talks directly to the garmin device..

Thank You!
I use tyre with my M/C Tomtom rider, that's why I was wanting compatibility as I can use it with both.
Tomtom however seem to have lost the plot recently in terms of compatability
all the guys seem to be moving to Garmin so I guess when the bike one need replacing I'll go garmin too.
What is basecamp, is it better than tyre? |
