how come if CamerAlert uses Google maps, when navigating in actual Google maps this camera icon with number over it appears?
plus the zoom is way better! pity that the camera icons cannot appear in navigation.

We can only use what Google allow us to use in the Mapping API.
Google Navigation is a standalone product that Google created. We just get to use some map stuff.
As for the speed limit icon being overlaid, that's part of the design so you can see the speed limit if you go over and CamerAlert is in the background. It will show up whatever app is in the foreground, not just Google Maps.
