I never said AV files, I said OV2 files. You must load the OV2 files and the BMP files into the "Great_Britain Navigator Map" folder which is probably loaded on your memory card.

Forget Checkpoint for the time being.

Have you loaded the OV2 and BMP files into the GB folder as above, and if you have, then if you go into properties on TT3 and go on the POI tab, is "pocketgps uk gatso" and "pocketgps uk redlight" in the list. (the icon is the BMP file you loaded)

hi. well progress has been made!
cleared my 2210, and started again.
now have icons on the maps ,
(if anyone else is struggling with this.... my computer saved the icon files as 'picture it express' files. i changed these to .bitmap files, added them to the ipaq, then cut and pasted them to the cf card..... hey presto.)

dont have any sound warning though, the sound files have defaulted to 'musicmatch jukebox' files.

steve, please, whats next.

best as always.
jon.

Read back through this post - its all there.

Load CheckPOInt onto your 2210 via activesync. Go into programmes on your 2210 and fire up CheckPOInt. You shoud get an Icon in the sys tray with an exclamation. Tap on it. Go into general settings and put a tick in both boxes. Tap OK. Tap the icon again, go into Overlay settings. Choose the Pocketpgs file (one at a time as there are two of them), go into Properties, tick in Detect POIs......tap on "First warning" tab, tick in "Give first warning", then choose "Sound to play as first warning" - you can use one of the alarm .wav files in the windows directory.

Do the same for the "last warning" tab.

You can copy sound files to your 2210, but they should be WAV files. Most sound programms will let you save them as wav files. or pick some up off this site - there are some around if you search.
