|
|
I find screen on my old Nuvi 775 impossible to see in sunlight (diabetic with poor eyesight). but when I look for a new unit getting really confused, there is to much choice!. I dont want bluetooth and all the extras, just a decent 5 inch screen? lane assist, ability to load own 3rd part POI (some dont now apparently) free lifetime maps and western europe, although all europe would be nice but want to keep cost as low as possible (retired)
will the 2567 LM fit the bill? not sure how useful traffic is as every where in london jammed anyway! and when I travel in europe even minor hold ups it seems to take you off route and cost you more time?
would appreciate some help from more knowledgeable members! |

It will except the equivalent model without bluetooth is the 2517. The simplest (cheapest?) way to get what you want is to look here for prices:
http://www.satnav-discounts.co.uk/garmin/nuvi-2500-lm.htm
and it seems Curry's deal of just under £100 would meet your needs. |

Thanks and that looks real value! but the screen resolution only 480 x 272 pixels, main reason for changing is a better screen |

Well it's the same 5" screen as the 2567 you quoted. I have the 2508 (again same 5" screen) and have no issues reading it.
You could always pop into Halfords etc and ask to see one demonstrated |

It's all to do with the map choice and bluetooth:
2517 has UK maps
2547 has Western EU maps
2567 is the 2547 with bluetooth
2597 has bluetooth and the full EU map |

have loaded all my thousand's of travel/camping related POI over and routes from old 775...so far so good. its a nice unit and considering only £21 more then a one off map update a bargain. struggling with getting my head around base camp though after 14 years with mapsource but we will see! |
