I've just submitted the location of a new specs camera but just the end one so is that ok for verifiers? - there are several in the area but too many to remember as I drove through. |

It would have been nice to have a hint at the location?
However, we prefer you to submit just one rather than none because there were too many to memorise. _________________ Dennis

Yes, we are happy for ANY submissions (so long as they are accurate!)
It will flag up that there will be other cameras in the area that need to be looked out for. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Ok thanks - They may have been already reported as I don't get out much! Location is on Peterborough Parkway ring road between Hampton shopping centre and A1.
Andy - definitely accurate location, big yellow things! |

Great!
But you'd be surprised at some of the wild goose chases we verifiers get sent on... New 'Gatso cameras' that are just grey posts erected for a new road sign that hasn't arrived yet; 'new specs' cameras which are just security cameras on a shopfront; and inumerable new 'variable speed cameras' which are just empty motorway gantries.
The best ones are the "Remove" requests for cameras which are still there, as clear as day, when we go to look.
Makes you wonder where the person WAS looking! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I've got an update on this one - according to a news article HERE there is a major road widening scheme about to start which will last until spring 2015. My understanding is the specs will be a temp 50mph for the duration - the poles have big concrete bases so do look temp to me.
I've been past again today and there are road signs that cameras are not switched on yet. |

For example, look at my post, fifth one down here, where you can see a photo of the farm entrance for me to verify a reported mobile. _________________ Dennis

Strange how the OP (shparas) in that thread never came back. I wonder if he is still a subscriber? |
