I have the RNS -850 installed in a V.W. 2013 Taureg R Line. Can it use the camera database via the SD card and if so which database and how? Thank you to all who take time to answer

For many "built-in" systems, you may well be the first to have seen one, so there won't be a vast background of knowledge like there is for add-ons like TomToms and Garmins etc.

So, our usual first question to people in this situation is this:

Does the user manual make any mention of the unit being able to add "Points of Interest" (or "user POIs" or "Third-party POIs")?

If it can, then we are half way there. You would be able to see the icons for the cameras on the screen.

Next, is does the manual mention being able to have any visual or audible warnings for those POIs?

If it does, then you would be able to get some sort of alerts for them.

If it's looking possible, is there any mention of the file format that it expects the POIs to be in? (often it will be something like ".csv" or ".txt")

Shame. Sad
But you're not alone... it's amazing how lacking in features many of the manufacturer's built-in units are. Confused
