I had selected POI's to be displayed but they were not being displayed.
When check the POI settings they are still selected.
On the specific map, Options, Show on map
If traffic information is ticked Points of Interest (POIs) (and all the other lower options) grey out and then are missing from the map.
I'd like to have POI's and traffic Info both to be available.
Is this a feature or am I doing something wrong? _________________ Fraserp

I concur and can replicate this behaviour - it does seem a bit odd - any suggestions out there? The Live traffic updates work really well, but if the display of those is at the expense of displaying other POI's on the map, which it seems to be, then it means having to make a decision between the two which takes away some of the usefulness of the two systems.
Does anyone know a way of getting both to display please? _________________ TomTom Live 1005 world maps |

Same behaviour on my old 740 Live and the iPhone app. I suspect it's by design rather than fault. |

Every TomTom ever made has been like that (ignoring the new Android based ones that are nothing like "traditional" TomToms anyway).
On the "Browse map" screen, you have to choose between Traffic view or normal view. In Traffic view, some of the other items are not shown.
I've never heard a definitive reason why, but I assume it is down to either them thinking the screen gets too cluttered or more likely that there is a lack of memory problem that would slow the screen re-draws down too much. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
