I reported a new Mobile location 3 weeks ago and had an auto-reply from you but have heard nothing since and it's not on the latest database (12-021).
Well the are back there again now and guaranteed someone will get caught as they speed up from the previously reported positions in the village (Armthorpe, S Yorks).
How long does it take to get a camera onto the database please? |

Please start by reading THIS. I am surprised to find that it's over 6 years old, but nevertheless, still mostly valid (the number of Verifiers has increased though, including several in foreign parts).
If that isn't enough for you, come back and I'll see if I can find the link to a whole article on the subject of how long it takes. _________________ Dennis

It was rejected.
Location was in a car park and the submission text "Mobile camera. First time ever seen in this location by me after 11 years living in the village and traveling past every day in both directions." didn't help to try and place it.
Please resubmit it with correct location.

Thanks for the replies. I was especially interested with the verifiers story. Really impressed at how hard you guys and girls work to make the database work.
Thanks MaFt for the reply and I'll resubmit with a more precise location and description for you today as they were back there yesterday in the same location. (My daughter spotted them from her works in the bookies nearby and told all her FB mates).
Thanks for all the hard work people. |

DennisN and MaFt.
Better description and location details now submitted including Lat/Long (I sat in the same place they do).
Hope it's better for you. Cheers for all the hard work you do for us. |

For the benefit of any and all readers, the hard work is done by quite a lot of Verifyers now and you can see who they are since we dropped the anonymity thing some years ago - under their avatars it says Verifyer when they post. But a lot of them never post and just quietly go on with the work. That's their efforts each week when you see the announcement of the update to the database. "X many new, changed, removed cameras this week" - they've all been verified by one or other of them. When you bear in mind that a number of submissions are rejected, there's much more going on than just those few new ones. _________________ Dennis

I've been spotting them for years, and do it for the privilage of helping others to keep the cash in their pockets and their licences clean.
I must be doing something right, as I have had a clean licence since 2005.
I do get the weekly mention when I spot one/some though. |

I thought you meant you are a Verifier (with a big V) and as I don't know all of them by any means, I just assumed it was a temporary mistake by MaFt and he would soon put that right. _________________ Dennis
