Has anybody managed to use BOTH these apps on the same iPAQ (4150) - not at the same time?
I can install both, but when i try and run Navman it cannot find comm port 6 (bluetooth).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance |

Have you tried removing the "Tomtom ~gps" from the remove programs list. If not, do this once only and restart the iPaq. It will still appear in the remove programs list but the gps should now be available to other apps. |

That's odd, that worked for me.
Are you able to select "GPS" in the setting/systems menu. If so, you may need to tick the box in the gps tab.
Failing that, try unpairing then re-pairing the gps.
If that fails you may need to re-install TTGPS. I believe that version 2.07 (available in the downloads section on this site) does not lock the com port. If you do this, you should completely uninstall the existing TTGPS from the iPaq first. |

Hi MATLOUGH
Is that SmartST v1.96 you've got? If so, don't bother - it's sh*te IMO.
Answering your question, I did get both to work at the same time. TT3 was on COM1, Navman on BT. I only use Navman abroad - it's got maps of Europe. |

Hi MATLOUGH,
Talkingbollox either speak with forked tongue or live up to name. V1.96 very good map. Navteq map, not TeleAtlas poor substitute. _________________ Tim |
