Hi folks,
I came across something by accident and can't seem to find it documented anywhere... (although it's difficult to search for). I've got a TT720 and I'm guessing this may work with others that have the ability to play mp3s...
If you put album art in the same folder as the album you are playing, and, name the same as the album id3 tag, then it will display on the jukebox currently playing page.
This is what I've figured out so far...
- The file must be called the same as the ID3 tag name.
- The directory name doesn't matter
- It doesn't like commas in the filename
- Size doesn't seem to matter - I've tried it with 800x800 jpgs and it works fine
- It ONLY works if the mp3s and the jpgs are on the booted device - ie, if you boot from the internal device, you won't see artwork on the SD - this is actually a right pain, as it means you have to put tomtom on the SD and override the internal disk.
If anyone can figure out how to get around the last one, it would be useful...
Enjoy.... |

Yes it is!
The 720 was one of the last TT models that really was a decent satnav. _________________ Anita

Then I bow, scrape and genuflect to your superior knowledge about the TT family Anita. |

Probably worth doing anyway. I had to because of occasional memory errors on my refurb TT720 (reason for it being a refurb?). But as well as fixing the memory issues, the device became more responsive!
As TT are sooo tight with built-in memory - even on the later series - you know that they have to be using the cheapest, meaning slowest, memory around. OTOH it's actually quite hard to buy slow SD memory cards these days ... _________________ Go Premium X / Go 1005 |

Interesting find rnem170, I'll have to have a play on my Go940!
Unfortunately, just like you, I normally run the system from internal memory and just keep the mp3 music on the SD card, so I would never have seen the album art without your tip. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
