I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of an easy to use Android Sat Nav program that takes speed camera info. I don't mind paying a modest amount if it really does work smoothly. UK and Europe maps essential

TomTom for Android?
Whichever navigation program you end up choosing, you can supplement it with the "CamerAlert" app. produced by PGPSW, that works in the background, in tandem with any nav. program

I think Sygic also allows you to import the pgpsw cameras. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I have put the PGPSW on Sygic for the map display and run CA in the background for the directional alerts. Best of both worlds. iGO for Android will have directional alerts (if it's the same as iGO for PNA). |

Android TomTom will display PGPSW cameras but there isn't an audible warning, so again it will have to be a combination of TomTom & CamerAert _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Navigon has them and instead of a 'bong' you get the advice 'beware'.
Used Navigon in Italy for ten days (back last night) on a Samsung 7.7 and it worked a treat.

As far as I'm aware the iGO for Smartphones (Android, iOS) doesn't have POI import. Unless this has been changed recently - it's been a while since I used them!

It does, but how often are they updated? The variable speed cams on the M62 are not on there. The average speed cams that were on there for over a year never appeared on Navigon either.

If you want them to show up on the TomTom map you need to download the TomTom specific speed camera database files (OV2 & BMP) and drop them in the TomTom map folder on your phone _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |
