Usual dilema I suppose?!
One queerie though, the 3598 HAS to have the in-car lead attached
to get traffic signal?
The Tomtom will pick up traffic without lead? (Because uses sim
inside unit?)
Is that about right?
The Garmin is more modern/ higher res screen/ maybe better voice
recog?
The 1005 is better navigationally (real word?) And more normal?
I really like both, am slightly swayed by the New Boy but still want
the best FUNCTIONAL unit

BUMP
Am I right about the lead/sim thing ??
[now looking 1005 or 3590, because much cheaper and only
real difference is digital/normal traffic ??]
You're right about the lead, although I understand that it's part of the charging lead anyway. And yes, the 1005 doesn't need one.
From reading a lot recently, I actually think that the Digital/normal traffic issue is a big one. I'm getting the impression that there is a world of difference, so it's really only worth going for a TT with HD Traffic or a Garmin with Digital Traffic if you need that function.
