If you can view the speed cameras in the MyPoi category that you imported them to (and you can navigate to them as well seeing as they are pretty much just standard POIs) then the import was successful and you have gone as far as you can with the Navi 600 with the exception of making them visible on the map.
This is of limited use as you would have to continually look at the screen and still wouldn't be able to see the speed limit in force or the type of camera.
Only the Navi 900 has the option to warn you when you are in proximity to a POI. |

Fresh install complete and indicates as successfully installed.
Cannot fathom how to set up warnings though so I suspect it may be as you suggest James.
Has anyone else managed to get audible warnings set up on the Navi 600 ? |

Yes, you have if you have the Navi 600.
The proximity alert on the Navi 900 can be used to make a workable speed camera warning system, but the fact that the Navi 600 can't makes it pretty pointless really. |

I have the 600 and can navigate to myPOIs but the map does not see the camaras.
If I ask an individual camara to show on the map it does so.
How do I make them all show on the map?
I realise audable warnings are not available, just want to at least see the camaras. |

Go into the 'Navigation' menu then choose 'Map Options' then choose 'Show POIs on map' then either 'Show all POIs' or select one or more of the individual categories. |

Thanks for reply.
Unfortunately not available.
I go config, Navigation settings, then 7 options none of which are 'Map Options'.
I have ability to import, delete or export POIs but no map options.
Pressing Destination also does not give the map option just selection of individual camaras when myPOIs selected.
Ah, found the map options you refer to.
Not in the config area at all, my mistake, I am now able to at least see the cameras on the map. Thanks James. |

Please help. Bit useless with computers too!
Have a new (14 model) Insignia - Navi 900
I downloaded the Shell Petrol Stations from the Free POIs section and they are on my SatNav in the Car. (.csv format)
I have downloaded the camera database, which is in POI format
Have used winzip evaluation version and extracted it to a POI folder on the same memory stick.
However they remain in POI format and do not appear on my SatNav.
I am well aware I am the problem - unsure how to get the cameras into the correct format |

Is this the Vauxhall Navi?
I don't know that brand myself, but I agree, the standard PGPSW download format for that brand seems to be in ".poi" format.

If your unit needs it's POI files in .csv format (are those working OK?), then you should also be able to download the Camera files in that format too
Go back to the Camera database download page (Big link on the right ►►►)
Ignore the "Download the same version" box and go instead to the "To Download A Different Version:" section.
In the first drop-down box, you should be able to select "Garmin POILoader" (which is one type of .csv format) or try one of the other .csv formats such as "Navman/Mio CSV" or "Other CSV".
Do any of those work for you? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
