Hi all,
I hit a problem today with tolls on my 1005 with the latest maps and navcore 12.065. I was in Hextable Kent and selected Hitchin and then not to use tolls, which would have taken me down to the Blackwall tunnel but no it routed me across the Dartford crossing ( Toll road ). I noticed in the route overview and thought I must have pressed the wrong selector, so I routed again and the same result. As this is the first toll road I have rejected since the new navcore it may only be the Dartford crossing ? I don't know. |

Just an idea, but the Dartford crossings are free before 6am and after midnight. IQ routes may have taken that into consideration?

Just a thought, and you're probably more attentive than I am, but I was planning a route on the M6 when I got the warning about toll roads. I hit "No" without reading the message properly, thinking I had instructed it to not use toll roads, but when I found myself on the M6 Toll road I realised that I had said no to "Do you want to avoid the toll roads"! _________________ Anita

TomTom have VERY ANNOYINGLY, changed the way the question is asked.
It used to be "WARNING - There is a toll road on your route, do you want to avoid toll roads?"
But now it's basically "WARNING - Oh yeah...Do you want to include it?" _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I have just now routed back to Hextable from Hitchin. Selecting no to use tolls and it routes to use the Blackwell tunnel. Just a thought there was a traffic warning this morning and may be this over ruled the toll option? |

I do find that after saying no to tolls (The M6 Toll usually in my case), if you then alter the route - eg adding a via - it can ignore the "no tolls" selection and route you back on the toll road.
You may be getting something similar with traffic.

I've definitely noticed this behaviour in the past; it has attempted to route me on to the M6 Toll when there has been a traffic incident. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

It routed correctly today in not using toll roads. Sittingbourne back to Hitchin via the Blackwell tunnel. Though there was very little traffic problems, I am sure it was traffic that caused the toll problem yesterday. |

As I understand it part of the M25 was closed Wednesday morning. From junction 3 to 5 I think. _________________ Peter

Yes but I wanted to travel away from the closed area, so it must have miss read this traffic and planed with tolls. Not correct though. |
