Just installed WM 2003, what a difference, it is instant, less than a second to find Oxford street, the software is just not compatible with 2002 operating system |

I have a 3970 running PocketPC 2002 and was about to buy CoPilot 5 with the GPS Jacket and a 256Mb CF card to go in the jacket slot, until I read this thread! So I emailed ALK (twice now) to ask if my configuration had been tested for the slow lookup issue. No reply...
I may just forget it and buy something else if that is an indication of their standard of customer service... maybe TomTomGo (but then the maps are still really old).
Does anyone know where I can get WM2003 if that fixes it? |

Easygeezer,
I just tried this on my H5550 and it worked OK, but there was quite a long pause (10-20 seconds) after entering High Street. _________________ Kam |

I found the same thing, but discovered that tapping the back button seemed to free it up

Moopo
I got my H3970 WM 2003 Upgrade from TotalPDA.
Try this link:
http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Pocket-PC-2003-Upgrade-for-iPAQ-3970.aspx
As WM 2003 is so last year , I thought it should be cheaper than from the official HP site.
