Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
Purely on the basis of population. So no evidence as such.
Yes, I subscribed on the 9th, but the map is viewable at home.
Anyway I submitted 18 this evening, missing many out as I couldn't recall either the direction, or the speed limit. This took 2 hours.
Doesn't seem like the information is wanted by the site though, you two clearly know the area I live and work in better than I. _________________ Cheers

Of course we want the information.. IF IT IS ACCURATE.
But up to now, we didn't know if you had actually SEEN mobile camera vans operating from all these sites or if you were simply going from published information of where they MIGHT operate from.
I now see from THIS POST that you HAVE seen them, so that's fine.
We strive to keep the database as accurate as possible, and the fundamental principle is that we only accept actual sightings of cameras, not hearsay.
Also, if old reports are not purged occasionally, then the database becomes equally inaccurate, by "bloat", but if a site begins to be re-used then a single report of it can bring it back on-line straight away. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)
The sites (all 50 odd) are accurate, just no record of direction or speed on them. So only submitted 18, as I could recall them all from memory.
I would guess that 2 sites (each side of same road) in Appleby Rd in Kendal have been purged, as they are still used and marked as Police Vehicles only. Just an example.
I'm all too aware of inaccurate mapping. Google have my house as a travelodge. _________________ Cheers
