TomTom have just launched an improvement to MyTomTom to allow some content management.
This so-called "backend" update means you continue to use the same version of the MyTomTom Support Application, but you still see the new feature.
You should now see "Remove" buttons for your maps
Once you have clicked on "Remove" the map should appear back on "my account", meaning you can re-download it from the server if required.
More improvements promised soon.... _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I should have mentioned... the software will not allow you to remove the LAST map (leaving you with an unuseale device.
So if you only have ONE map installed, you will not see a "Remove" button.
Is that your situation Gerry? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Yes that is my situation. I have just the Europe map vers. 9.00 on my Go 1005. That explains it. Thanks Andy. _________________ TomTom Go Live 1005 Europe

As we all know, there would have been at least one person do this, then complain that they had no maps left on the device! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

It makes sense not to have the Remove button if you only have a single map.
Dare I say it, a sensible bit of programming from TomTom? _________________ TomTom Go Live 1005 Europe

For a better user-experience though I would expect the 'Remove' button to be present but greyed out with a mouse-over text explaining why it was greyed out... But yeah, makes a change for TomTom to think about something!
