Which speed alerts? Garmin ones or the ones from this site? Do you have both selected? If so try deselecting each in turn to see which one, if either, is causing the problem. |

Thanks for your reply.I have deleted Garmin alerts and used latest update from PGW.On the test drive yesterday the Nuvi worked okay 1st run, switched it off and on the second test it locked but came back on a minute or so later. The stretch off road has multiple alerts/red light/mobile sights.I also have updated the Nuvi software. The problem started way before the update and PGW update works perfect with an old Streetpilot i3 !!!!S |

Still not solved this.Realise its an old unit but would of expected more response. Old Skool is hip.Next port of call will have to be Garmin Alerts.Pity to change but need a solution. |

As thousands of Nuvi users are using the PGPSW database without any problems, it has to be something specific to your unit.
Maybe there aren't any other forum regulars with that particular model, which would explain the lack of replies, but it's certainly not a universal issue with Garmins.
You haven't said yet if your unit has ALWAYS done this or has only started doing it since a particular update.
Do you have any backups or previous software versions to go back to?
Have you tried doing any tests like only installing one or two of the camera types rather then all of them, just to see if that makes any difference? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Possible duplicate databases installed.
Can you check for how many POI.GPI files there are? Might be more than one .GPI file with different names. Should only be one usually called POI.GPI.
Or use POILOADER to delete the database and then run a demo to verify there is no database on the unit. Then reload it. |
