Having only just bought a tt 'go' I will I believe need to get a slightly bigger card if I am to include the camera database as provided by Pocket GPS and looks like the card to go for that people recommend is a kingston brand.
I don't intend to use it abroad so won't be loading any maps for there onto it, though wonder if the Fugawi maps will be able to be installed onto it which would be very handy for traveling off road in my 4x4...

Any advice on this for a novice would be welcome...

The bigger the better, and anything but Sandisk "Made in China"

As for the Fugawi maps - you will unfortunately not be able to use them on the TT GO - that one exclusively talks TomTom street routing maps. At least for now.

Hi lbendin,

what's wrong with Sandisks made in China? I'm using one of them (256Mb) on my iPaq4150 with Tomtom 3 and it has always worked perfectly... is it a performance problem you're talking about, or something else?

Thanks

there are whole websites dedicated to that problem. Sandisks made in China tend to be much slower than the competition , and tend to get corrupted quickly when written to often.

Having said that, I also did have a Sandisk China SD 256 MB - until I could afford something better. By always defragmenting the Sandisk I could avoid most of the problems, but I still suffered from the slow performance.
