You may have more success (possibly) by raising a ticket witrh TT customer services. That said, I'm still waiting for my query to be resolved. It's still at the 'There is no issue' stage.
I don't think TT pay very much attention to the discussion forum. Many, many queries just go unanswered. |

i had a reply from tomtom tonight telling me that the version i have is the most up to date and that tomtom update there database twice a week .
i then pointed out to them that this version 21711 is now 2 weeks old and i have not been offered a uk update since. they say that they are now investigating and i'm waiting for the reply. |

I think the version number is something of a red herring. It was that number some time ago and Ditte recently told me it is that number currently, so the number might even be something similar to App number. Anyway, her 21711 supposedly contained better camera information than mine did.
I'm expecting a new (refurbished) GO550 Live to be delivered today by UPS and will hopefully be able to test the camera database soon. _________________ Dennis

That's just what I did a couple of weeks ago. It didn't get me cameras, but it DID get me off the forum - no more naughty bloke complaining about their database!! No more evidence for other users that there is a problem!! _________________ Dennis

don't know how they can say i have the most upto date cameras on my tomtom .
ive not been offered any uk updates for 2 weeks now.
This is Sarah from TomTom Customer Support.
I thank you for your patience with the matter and I will do my utmost to get the matter resolved for you. Please follow the instructions below as I believe this is the best way to resolve the issues that you are experiencing.
I have forwarded your case to our concern department, after researching your case our technician has found out that your device is upto date with all UK Speed Cameras updates.
We have checked from our end and we are getting the same number cameras when we update our device here. This means for this it is the latest released.
We will keep an eye on it after the release tomorrow and will report to the business if cameras are not updating correctly.
If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to get in contact with me again.
Thank you for your valuable time and for giving me an opportunity to assist you.
With Kind Regards,
Sarah

I connected to Home yesterday evening, and again this morning. The UK safety cameras are still not offered as an option for downloading, and the safety camera files on my 550 Live are still dated from 21st August (when I removed/re-installed them).
There's obviously a problem, and Tomtom don't seem to want to admit it.
Inaccurate and out of date safety camera data, and poor customer service! They're just pushing customers elsewhere :-) |

this is reply from tomtom today ,
even when they said yesterday that there is a uk speed camera update out today.
ever get the feeling that tomtom customer service are incompetent!!!!!
This is Sarah again.
I can confirm that 21711 is the latest Speed Cameras update of UK.
You will be prompted every time a new release of UK Speed Cameras becomes available by TomTom HOME.
At this moment there are no updates available for UK updates.
If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to get in contact with me again.
Thank you for your valuable time and for giving me an opportunity to assist you.
With Kind Regards,
Sarah

So is TT saying that it has had no new camera data for two weeks, and their database remains up to date for this period? TT customers seem not to be too keen on providing data? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Am I missing something here? I may well be reading something into those Tomtom e-mails that isn't there....
It seems to be indicating that Tomtom haven't released any recent updates for the UK safety cameras (and I presume this is why they haven't appeared alongside other European countries when I connect to Home).
So it's not a glitch with Home, but a degradation of an already poor safety camera service for UK subscribers. Does that seem about right? |
