I submitted a mobile camera the other week and also a picture of the layby it was set up in. Once I pressed the button to create the report, the app then immediately began to upload the submission. Is there a way that I can disable this auto send until I am on wifi at all? Each pic nowadays is about 2- 4mb, so if uploading a few will soon eat into data allowances. I have had a look in the advanced settings, and nothing stares out at me as being glaringly obvious.
Also, how to submit a camera removal? On the old camera app for PDAs (years ago), there was an icon for removal. Is that likely to be added in the future?
Thanks

I don't know if the method is the same for Android, but Here is the method used on Apple devices. _________________ Richard

No it wasn't. That answer was if the software would store the data while roaming was disabled/ unavailable until a wifi point was available. My question this time was regarding being in the UK with data enabled and preventing auto upload.

As per Oldboy's first link. Your question answered.

I feel a bit cheeky posting after Ibendlin has answered but presumably that is only if the "Allow transmission" box is ticked. Until you tick this box, your camera "finds" shall remain on your device whether you have a data connection or not.

I shall re- edit mine then as the one above was edited to make my post look stupid.
No. The answer has not been given. Please read that link again. I asked in that question, if I am roaming and data is switched off, will it upload when connected to wifi? I understood the answer to that question.
This question asked if it could be enable to upload on wifi only when in the UK. In the UK, 3G data will be turned on and I do not want to upload files over my 3G data, only on wifi. If my data is turned on, the file will upload, or attempt to upload immediately, or next time in network coverage.
P.S. That box is unticked, but if in network coverage still uploads the file. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

Then isn't it a bug? - that's not what this paragraph in the manual says "If you turn it off then nothing will be uploaded until you turn it on AND you have a data connection" - it says AND, not OR. I thought this was a means whereby users can store a camera report, then when they get home check it, add a voice note etc.

Sorry, it probably sounded a bit harsh,, it wasn't intended to be, but I wrote my reply and once posted your reply had changed as you must have been editing it

Maybe i'll uninstall it and re- install again to see if that makes a difference? I definitely unchecked the box to make sure (even though I had no roaming) that I didn't receive any nasty bill shocks on my return from Spain, but my submission still uploaded as I was sat on the A1.
An option to upload only on wifi would be beneficial, may have to suggest that.
I'm running v1.3.6.601.
Thanks
