Forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong section. I'm on the verge of buying a 2010 Renault Meganne Grande Sceneic car1.5 dci, the Privilege spec. It comes with a built in Tomtom. Does anyone know if the tomtom in this model is the live version?
I've tried a little research but come up blank.
TIA,
Peter |

As there are both LIVE and non-LIVE versions of the Carminat TomTom for Renault, may be you get the choice?
Can't you get any info from the dealership? I'm amazed how the car makers can charge so much for their built-in satnavs, but seem to think they don't need to know anything about them! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Ask the seller - or is this a stupid question?
Or go sit in it, switch on the ignition and see what comes up on the display and in the menus - if there are ANY Live service options (maybe even greyed out if the subscription has expired), you've got a Live version.
I have a feeling the Meganne IS the Live version, but you're talking 2010, so maybe earlier.
The Carminat in my van is 2010, non-Live version, but I think all the later models are now Live. _________________ Dennis

Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping to test drive the thing within the next few days but currently the car is in a garage two hrs away from home. I've emailed the sales rep to find out. |

Doesn't help much but I've got a 2011 Megane Sport Tourer and it's definately the LIVE version installed - when you get in and once the normal driving view screen has appered, press the MENU button on the control pad - the LIVE SERVICES button should be there if it's available. |

Ooops, ignore my post
Sorry, I completely missed the mention of it being a 2010 model and thought this was a brand new car from the makers. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
