|
|
iphone 4S (in TomTom car kit) with TomTom V1.9 and the PGPSW database installed but I've lost the verbal warnings?
The POI's still show perfectly on the map & the verbal route instructions are all ok but no POI warnings?
Have I pressed something I shouldn't? been through the menu's & can't see an obvious 'fix'
Any advise very much appreciated!
Cheers

Are you trying to get the PGPSW database warnings within the iPhone app, if so make sure the ogg files are present in the correct folder, also make sure the modified mapsettings.cfg file is in the correct folder, when you update the app these files need to be added again as they don't get carried over from the older version - Mike |

Obviously still forgetting something as I've re-installed the 'speed zoned' sound files and now if I set a route and put it on 'route demo' all alerts for all camera types are audible but if I drive round without a route programmed into the tomtom the only alerts I get are for '30mph' zones?
I've re-installed all the sound files so I know they are there so any ideas or solutions most welcome!!! |

The ready made mapsettings.cfg file was configured with the option to "Warn ONLY if POI on route" set, so without a route set you won't get a warning, not too sure why you are getting a warning at 30MPH without a route as you shouldn't be! - Mike |

Thanks Mike!
Is there a 'mapsettings.cfg file' available that warns you when no route is set?
don't know why mine is giving the 30mph zone warnings but its great to leave on the map screen and be able to see what cameras are in the area and the warning is a great help as well!
Cheers

Not unless you can create one using a standalone TomTom nav unit - Mike |
