Hi,
A question about the choice of an alternative way in TomTom:
When you declare a road "unavailable" because of work on it or anything else. Is it kept in memory ? Or the next time you reboot, the setting is lost ?
If it is memorized once for all, how do you do to remove it ?
Hope that I'm clear enough...English isn't my main language ;-) |

Welcome.
You have two options.
When you are driving and are going into the alternative route menu this is valid only for the current journey.
But you can also create permanent avoid areas in map mode. Those will then be considered in all future journeys. _________________ Lutz

Do these AVOID areas have to be saved, or is it done automatically if you designate a road or area as an AVOID area? (I have a bridleway near home that TT3 insists I drive along every time I plan a route north from my house. I keep telling it, I can't get the car through the gap in the wall, but it won't listen) |

Avoid areas are little rectangles that you draw on the map view. Draw one of these on you bridleway and it will be saved until you delete it. Now when you plan a route you have to use the 'Alternative route' option, but TT will always ignore the bridle way.
I know these little things can be irritating, but I would just ignore the duff instruction and drive on past. _________________ Ipaq 2210
