|

I havent been able to find a definitive answer if a custom car kit is available for the 4155. The TomTom site lists the 415x series but there is an asterisk next to the cradle. Unfortunatly I cant find the fine print the asterisk is eluding to.
The best info I could find is that it wasnt available at one time but was going to be released. However I have no idea when this info I read was published.
So does a custom TomTom kit exist for the 415x series iPaqs?
If so, does anyone have link where I can order it from? |

I seem to recall that only the generic holder was available for the 415x series i.e. the Jaw Clamp type rather than a specific moulded holder.
For alternatives look at www.brodit.com . _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hmm now this brings up another question.
Is there a custom fit cradle for the iPaq 415x series that has a connection for a wired serial GPS?
Ideally I'd like to simply drop the iPaq in the crade and have GPS without connecting any wires.
It seems the TomToms do this but apparently no 415x series model exists.
The units at www.brodit.com seem to only provide power for the iPaq rather than allow GPS connection to. |

Brodit have such a cradle 84951 which has a pass-thru connector on the bottom, simply connect your GPS Mouse to the cradle via this connector. Then when you 'dock' the 415x in the cradle it will connect to power and GPS.
Alternatively 846591 has a clamp arrangement on it's bottom allowing you to affix the GPS Mouse/12v power cable to the bracket. _________________ Darren Griffin |
