I can't find any other reference to this so apologies if I've missed it.
For the last couple of weeks or so if I access the forum via my iPhone, on clicking 'View posts since last visit' even if it says I haven't visited for 2 or 3 days the resulting page shows 'No topics found ....'
If I access via my laptop all is well.
I have rebooted phone, signed out and back in on phone and computer, and ensured time zone is set correctly.
Any clues please?? _________________ Mike

It's no help to you... but I can sympathise!
I've had the same on my PC ever since I've been visiting PGPSW. Tried all sorts of things and nothing has ever fixed it.
If I stay logged on and with the PC on, I do get new posts showing, but if I turn the PC off (I never log out) around 60% of the time when I come back the index page shows new post icons, but as soon as I click on one to go to the post, I get that "No new posts since your last visit" message.
Never happens on the other forums I frequent. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

And what about the 'View Posts Since Last Visit' option? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I use the 'Forums ~ Forum Filters ~ New Posts' That seems to work OK for me, and I' glad you re-instated it after its short absence. |

It only works reliably if I come to the web site, hover over the "Forums" tab, wait for the menu to pop down and then click "New Posts" without clicking anything else on the site first.
For me, this is the only frustrating feature of the site, I would love an option to search for "today's posts" or "new posts since (date)" as once the "New posts" feature fails it is impossible to find the "lost" posts. _________________ Paul |

Our issue is we have a heavily customised version of phpBB. Features that have been released on newer versions are not an option for us and the feature you describe is not available to the version we use.
Catch 22.
I've always had a bookmark for the 'New Posts Since last Visit' feature and that works well for me. Does no-one else use it? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Are we being any help to the OP? I don't have an iPhone so can't try it. _________________ Paul |

I always use the Link at the Top Right of the Forum Index Page.
The only time it fails for me is if I forget to Logout when leaving the Site. _________________ Richard

Sorry, in transit.
Surely if I bookmark a page that doesn't work in the first place I will get the same result each time, unless I'm being dumb.
Don't forget the problem only occurs on the iPhone but is ok on the laptop. This is only a recent development.
Thanks for your thoughts do far. _________________ Mike

So do I normally but something's not behaving itself at the moment. It could be me of course! _________________ Mike

No, it wouldn't be a solution for you, I got sidelined by the other posts sorry.

Nothing has changed here and the fact it works for some of us means its not a server issue. It is cookie based though so perhaps it's a cookie issue on your iPhone. Perhaps it'd be worth clearing Safari cookies and retesting?
Also, does this happen both at home on WiFi and mobile? If so, it's another pointer to a cookie issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren I hadn't thought of that, I didn't know you could do that on the iPhone. I'll report back if I can figure it out and it works. _________________ Mike
