i sometimes use the bridge to go over the bluewater it has a sign at the start saying average speed cameras but ive never seen any and people seem to do well over the average of 50
was it ever confirmed that they are in place and if not shouldnt they remove the sign? |

The cameras are there. They ar big yellow things above the carriageways. Whether they are in use is a moot point, especially as the last two clockwise straddle a 50/40MPH limit. How that works, no-one is certain. |

As they say on QI, "Nobody knows" But if you average over 50, you were certainly OTT |

It's not difficult to calculate, however whether it's legal is another issue...
Example:
If 3 miles had a 50 limit it should take at least:
(3/50)*60 = 3.6 minutes
If the next 3 miles had a 40 limit it should take a least:
(3/40)*60 = 4.5 minutes
Minimum time it should take over the entire stretch is therefore 3.6+4.5=8.1 minutes, so if you were under this then you must have been speeding at some point. |
