PoiLoader 2.7 just announced itself, so I installed it.

But it created a .poi file (not a .gpi file) so the satnav didn't recognise it.

And Ash10 didn't recognise it either - the icon kept flashing that updates are available (even though they had been installed).

Dales.

That's probably because they changed the executable's file name from
"POILoader.exe" to "POI Loader.exe" ... for reasons best known to themselves...
(... it broke my batch file too Embarassed )

Smile

As soon I saw they had 'goofed' (again) I stopped reading and made a mental note to stick my current POI Loader.

ive used the new POI loader and experienced this, but if you choose to save the files to your computer instead of device it will create the .gpi file.

My next trick is to see if i can fool it by saving it to my computer, and then selecting the microsd drive and it should save it as .gpi then when i disconnect and start device it will install em. ill let you know when ive done it.

Also you can load different POIs using a different name and it wont wipe out existing ones on the device (of a different name) OR you can update your PGPSW cams file (overwrite) without deleting all your other POIs (as long as they have different file name) afaik

if you chose the sdcard as a drive on your computer and elect to save the files there you get a .gpi file, which will offer to install itself after you have properly disconnected from your PC and switched the garmin on. No need to save the file and THEN copy it over to your sdcard.

Can anyone assist with this users issue?

Also, is there a repository for older POILoader versions available anywhere?
