Dear experts,
I've been subscribed for a few years and happily downloading the database files to my Tomtom 930.
I've been using one of the old voice alert sets (a lady from the BBC I think) but now read that there is a newer set of Official Voice Alerts.
Instructions seem to tell me that these are available on the camera database download page but I can't find them!
So, can anyone please point me to the new voice alerts?
Thanks

When you select a satnav system with available voice files on the database download page, you will get an option to download the voice files as well.
Try selecting TomTom OV2 as your system type and see what happens! _________________ Dom

Thanks, Dom,
I have now successfully installed the cams and voice ogg files into my map folder.
However, I just tried to check them in "manage pois" and things are not right!
For example, on the "select a poi category" screen, if I select "pocketgps uk gatso 30", I am asked "Remove Warning?". I selected "No".
Then I get the "warn when closer than:" screen. I choose a distance and press "ok".
on the next screen I select "Sound effect". All this is as expected but:
Then I am cycled back to the "Warn when closer than:" screen.
I never get a choice of sound effects - which used to happen.
However, when I choose a different poi category that I have not bothered with before, like "Airport", I am offered a list of warning sounds, "bell1" etc etc.
Any ideas what is going wrong? |

I don't own a TomTom but this page has the up to date options.
It might be that you need to move the ogg files to the sounds directory. _________________ Dom

Thanks again, Dom.
Following your advice, and performing a re-set as advised on the page you mentioned, seems to have done the trick.
I can't preview the voices but will check next time I go for a drive
Regards
