My 1005 has updated to 10.111.647853.74
Only change I can see is it says "Time Synchronised To London" on startup.
EDIT:
After a few google searches perhaps that is not what it updated?
Anyway, the upgrade it does takes just over ten minutes to install with the latest version of My TT 3.0.2.286

Curious whether you experience faster gps satellite captures with the new upgrade. _________________ David |

Over the last couple of days, (since the update to MyTomTom itself) I've had several "phantom" downloads (long ones of 5 minutes or more) and times where MyTT insists there is an update for my Go1000 and not to disconnect but nothing seems to be happening for hours on end.
Finally today it seems to be happy and everything agrees it is all upto date, but no version numbers have changes anywhere. |

Haven't noticed any faster GPS fix as some have suggested.
More likely a bug fix somewhere in the system.
I don't really have any complaint, but not noticed any obvious difference... _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

I can confirm it was the LIVE camera update. I was missing the cameras on the M1 (both directions) North of Hemel Hempstead. Following this "mysterious" update, the cameras are now there.
Also, finally, the map update service activation codes (that you can buy from Halfords) are working (at least for me) on my 1005 |

And if you clear the cache in the MyTomTom desktop icon? _________________ David |

Hi all
now sorted I had to reinstall tomtom home 3 ??? it's a TomTom...come on
anyway plugged in after reinstall and it has downloaded the new app version then downloaded and installed the latest map all without the usual TomTom drama ......
I have used TomToms from my first Go910 worked my way up the Go940 and have to say this Go1005 is the BEST yet.
Yes they have removed some items but to be fair they just cluttered the device.
The mount is great, the live services work very fast and the routing speed is awesome.
I just wish that the Go940 could have been updated!! but the new app for it made mine unusable as i spent more time waiting for it than driving
Thanks Terry |
