Would like the 'dim screen' option back

Hi, I recently bought a One XL2, i know the user options are very much limited on this model but one option i miss in particular on my 'old' tomtom that is not offered on my xl was the option to 'dim the screen between directions'.....this enhanced the battery life when not using the in-car power supply. Is it possible to somehow regain this option?.........or perhaps tomtom will re-instate it on a future upgrade?


As an aside, i successfully used my 30 day map guarantee yesterday, the whole process took approx 50 minutes to download and install the newer v865.3245 'Western europe' map.
