The unit should be supplied with a docking cradle or PC connection cable, if this component is missing you could use the car cradle with a mini USB lead connected to the PC - Mike |

Recent versions don't appear to come with the dock anymore. When i was working for an electronics retailer recently the contents of the empty shelf boxes where locked away. None of the x50s had the cradle.
Also at Halfords

Even TomTom don't supply the desktop dock any more - here for non x10 devices
The TomTom GO Connect Cable replaces the desktop dock for x40, x50 and other devices... |

I was thinking he meant there was no WINDSCREEN dock.
AFAIK, the Gox50's never came with a PC dock, just a cable. |

Hey that was a good idea.
I stopped using the desktop dock because it meant having to change usb cables on my computer so I simply used a normal usb cable with the unit flat on my desk. I just tried sticking the windscreen mount to my desk and now I can view it at a nearly upright angle. |
