Latest Map Guarantee
Quote: | Starting March 9, My TomTom supports the latest map guarantee. The map will be made available in stages based on the first two characters of the serial number of the navigation device. |
Check their web-page for the serial number details...

And if you have a red X, what does that mean?

Not heard of anyone in the UK getting an updated map, but quite a few in the USA have got the new maps.
Mine is also a TA. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

1005 with serial starting SA, and surprise surprise, it is not one of the updatable ones yet. Perhaps TomTom made up all those other serial number prefixes to make it look like they were offering updates already ;) |

It's been changed from a red X to coming soon. So there's hope yet. _________________ Gee-Pee

Just had notification to download maps for my via LIVE 120. It got to about 4% and stopped then disconnected. Tried again and it's stuck on 0%.
Phoned TOMTOM who say they have had many complaints about the download for the 120, some having downloaded 100% and then found no maps on their device.
TT are working on it and suggest trying again next week.
Been advised to do a reset and when logging on again to My TT, account, details, I should find the map guarantee reinstated.
EDIT.
Well thanks to 'colm' from Ireland, whoever s/he may be, all sorted.
Quote: | If not connecting or stops.
Empty cache.
Close My TomTom.
CTRL ALT DELETE open task manager and select MyTomTomSA and end process.
Press and hold power button on device until it restarts and you hear the drums.
Restart My TomTom. |
New maps now installed and all working. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

My one is also a 'SA' so in the coming days...
I must admit I did not realise that the "Map Share" also did not work and does not share anything.

Nice one Gee-Pee, I guess I can thank you personally. Notice I credited you with the 'fix'.
Is there a way of getting rid of the TT cameras on the via LIVE 120? Double warnings are getting to me. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Whoops, sorry to dissapoint you and maybe to mislead you. I am definitely NOT Colm. I do know him from another forum.....
I'm sure he will read this and get the message.
As to your Safety cams....not sure how to do that as they are not listed in the other POIs. I'll check. _________________ Gee-Pee
