|

I was installing the latest Speed Camera Database and for some reson all the maps relating to the UK are missing, it shows Guam, USA & (somewhere else).
I have checked my recycle bin and they are not there, in fact they are not on my PC at all, when you switch the 910 on it starts as if you want to select your map? but its not there.
Can I clone the maps from another 910? and run them?

The activation for a map is specific to one device so you can't simply copy it from another device.
Probably you deleted it by mistake (If you delete it it doesn't go to the recycle bin). See if by chance you have simply moved the directory somewhere (it's easy to move something with a wrong mouse movement, delete requires a confirmation).
If you can't find it, look if you have a backup.
Failing also this, the only solution is to buy a new map |

No its not there, all searches for western_and_central_europe return a blank search.
Its as if they have vanished. |

Have you got a back up of the device on your computer anywhere?
Without a back up there is only one option which is to purchase a new map for the device using TomTom Home - Mike |

The reason I asked is because the original map on the 910 was called 'Western_Europe'. _________________ Richard

mjhorne....
The instructions for adding voice warnings are on the same page as the voice files themselves. For the TomTom they are on THIS PAGE.
But the other thing you need to do straight away is a full backup with Windows Explorer, not Home.
As you're not sure how you lost the original maps, I would do a backup BEFORE you try adding the voice warnings again.
Then do the voices and back up again. |
