Can someone please explain to me the difference between the consolidated and speed zoned camera alerts. Also does the voice alert only work with the speed zoned alert or with both? It has already been asked I know but where is the video for installing the voice alerts located?
I have downloaded and installed the consolidated alerts as far as I know they have installed ok, can I download the speed zoned alerts also and put them in a different folder on my pc? |

Consolidated gives you a warning of a camera by type.
Speed Zoned gives you a warning of a camera by type AND its rated speed.
Depending upon what you want from the warnings you can install either database to the device, consolidated is faster to set up as there are only a few categories to configure, speed zoned takes slightly longer but offers better information while on the road.
Spoken alerts are possible with either database, I should also add both database types contain the same number of cameras as they are formed from a signle master database.
The installation video for the speed camera database can be found Here Although I am not too sure the video covers the ogg Vorbis spoken alerts, information about the spoken alerts is found on This Page- Mike |

Thank you for your speedy reply. I am new to this so please forgive me. I would like to have the Euro database also, can I just download this into the same folder and then have both the uk and euro camera alerts, I have a garmin 1490t satnav with western europe mapping. The video is only for TomTom, is there one for Garmin? |
