|
|
Hi chaps - I have recently started using the camera alert app (I also have tomtom but didn't want to enter a 'route' when all I want to do is check out cameras during any casual journey) I figured this app was what I needed ... however I've had a good look through the threads but cannot find an answer - I have turned of red light warnings but I still get the warning ... this is only irritating because I have my iPhone 4 linked to my car radio via bluetooth and the radio is turned off with every warning ... do I have to do a reset or something (there is definitely no 'tick' in the red light box) ... anyone any advice please ... It's a known bug and a fixed version is with Apple now waiting release.
See this thread which mentions the bug for mobiles too. |

Thanks Paul - good of you - I'm guessing that once apple have done their bit it will become a regular upgrade ... ie I need to do nothing other than keep my eyes on the apps ... Roger |

As PocketGPSWorld identify bugs and improvements so they are built and released to Apple for approval. Once approve Apple release them to the App Store and you can download the update. |

And you need to consider that there are now many dual red light/speed camera installations, so turning them off may not be such a great idea.
These camera operate in red-light mode when the lights are on red and normal speed camera mode at all other times. _________________ Darren Griffin |

That's interesting ... and sneaky ... I guess that takes me to my other point ref iPhone 4 - when connected to my radio via bluetooth the radio is turned off every time I approach a camera or red light - I suppose the only solution is to turn off the bluetooth connection and rely on the iphone's speaker ?

That would be an issue for your headunit, we can't affect that. You will hear the audio alerts over iTunes music if piped through head-unit, otherwise, you can configure CamerAlert audio to come out of iPhone speaker if listening to radio. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes. The radio is switching between one source (Radio) and another (iPhone). Unless it has a built in function to FADE the radio it'll just cut it. If you can stream music to the radio from the iPhone and use CamerAlert at the same time you can set CamerAlert to FADE or PAUSE the music being streamed. |
