Sure, okay on that (night mode) "Ib", but it appeared (to me) that Darren suggested the "icon" was also a fixture which cannot be changed (although only cosmetic).
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Ironically the arrow is a byproduct of another klutz that we had to do for all the devices where the display of the "My location" bubble would crash the application. Now we're just doing a marketing spin on it and are selling the dirty hack as a brilliant feature. _________________ Lutz

OK, just paid my money and got my Google receipt. When I look on history of order it tells me order has been sent to PGPSW and you are responsible for charging and shipping.
Meanwhile for the last 10 minutes the phone display has been stuck on "authorising purchase" with the little grey line thingy. Am using Wifi and no problem with connection or signal. Never had that before when buying an app. Is that usual for Cameralert? Should I be patient or should I hit the cancel button (the only option button) and if so what do I do then? _________________ Peter

No we're not, once Google has authorised payment you download the app directly from Google Market.

Nothing to do with us, the sale is done thru Google Market. It's not a CamerAlert issue, it must be a Market issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren, that's what I thought but I hit cancel and when I go back into "my apps" in the Market it is still showing as "authorising purchase". Anyway of checking the status at you end? _________________ Peter

We have no involvement in this transaction at all. The software is delivered by Google and comes from Google's server. They take your money, they handle the entire transaction.
All we get is a report of sales at and payment at the end of the month.
I'd cancel and try again or request help from Google. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Interesting time stamps on this forum. Darren's last post at 9.54. Current time of my post is 9:15. Ah, on previewing I see your server is still on BST, not GMT. Any emails from that server will well confuse mail servers!! Mail arriving in the future.......
Great app by the way. Now working fine on my Desire HD. Runs behind CoPilot with map display set to never. Nice BIG overspeed warning when approaching camera. Yes, you will get false warnings of adjacent cameras especially on M'way. (One 50mph alert on M4 w/b just before M32 in Bristol. Camera is on adjacent ring-road), but small price to pay. |

Not quite - you don't have the correct offset configured in your forum profile. You have it set to GMT+1, change it to GMT.

In which case, try adjusting the detection parameters in settings. _________________ Darren Griffin |

oops, my faullt! Sorry!
That particular camera is on parallel road about 20metres from m'way. Difficult to improve settins w/o missing cameras just after a bend as someone else mentioned. I'm very happy to accept a few like this. |

perhaps your bank are withholding payment pending a random fraud check? might be worth phoning the bank to ask them. i know they are supposed to contact you directly if they are doing something like that but they don't always...
'authorising purchase' to me seems like google are waiting to confirm your payment method.
you might get some tips here too: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=768ff3029eb670cf&hl=en

A quick feature req/suggestion...
How about separate warning times for mobiles and fixed cameras?
I find 10 secs is about right for a Gatso, but 30 secs would be more useful for some sneaky b*gger with a laser. |

Have you sorted out the sound issue from the beta version whereby if your phone was connected to a BT hands free kit you cannot get sound directly from the phone as per EZ Cam? |
