Hi,

My query is regards the Nokia 6310i phone only able to have one simultaneous BT connection - what I want to be able to do is use the PDA contacts to select a contact and choose Dial via bluetooth - this will then initiate the call on my phone - and then I want the phone to be connected to the parrot BT handsfree to actually carry out the call.

Is this possible? Because the PDA will be connected to the phone to initiate the call but then can disconnect and the phone and parrot can now be connected? Will this happen automatically or will this not work?
I can't test it cos I havent purchased the parrot yet - any idea?

I dont think it will work cos the setting up of the BT connection between the devices is done manually (in one way or another)

ie. When you switch on ignition the Parrot searches for the last phone it was connected to and makes the connection. If you go to the PDA and "dial via BT" then it cant connect to the 6310 cos the 6310 is already connected to the parrot?

If you are buying the CK3100 it has its own phonebook and works exceptionally well the 6310i (probably the best combination you can get actually) When the phone connects to the Ck3100 the phonebook syncs with the car kit (only 1 number per contact though i think) so you can dial straight from the CK3100 control panel. It syncs every time you connect. The phone book on the carkit is saved but only for that phone, if you use 2 phones then it has 2 phonebooks but only accesible from the correct phone. Some phones you have to send the contacts manually via BT which can be a pain!

So far the CK3100 is a good peice of kit.

I wished I knew about the higher models that incorporate a GPS antenna before I bought my current setup, grrrrrrrrr
