Hi All...
Does anyone else share this problem? Updated to latest map on my GO LiVE 540 ( may be coincidence ) and now mapshare doesnt work, it says "20 weeks since map update but mapshare is currently unavail"
Logged into tomtom site and discovered a message saying " mapshare do not work with your device on MY TOMTOM".. sent a message asking why, but wondered if anyone else had discovered what has happened..
Thanks as always..

It happens everytime after a new map for me. Give it a week and it sorts itself out. |

With MYTOMTOM as opposed to TT Home? I thought this (MapShare) was one of the features thankfully dropped with MYTOMTOM _________________ Dennis

Just checked and MapShare is available for my 910; some 900 for W&C Europe. _________________ Richard

Is my TomTom now working for the earlier models? I thought it was still just for the Go1000 and 1005 and that the 950 would still be using Home 2.
Certainly is for me... |

That's what the OP said... Quote: | Logged into tomtom site and discovered a message saying " mapshare do not work with your device on MY TOMTOM".. |
I thought my comment raised that question - using MYTOMTOM or TT HOME? DennisN wrote: | With MYTOMTOM as opposed to TT Home? |

Yes, sorry, that's what I was trying to say too... I thought I'd posted two quotes, but managed to lose the one from tigerbear. |

I have a TT510 with the previous map update (3 months ago) I was offered mapshare in the same update session as the new map, but later in the sequence. I chose not to have them as I thought they may have been applicable to the existing map already on my device.
After that mapshare did not work for a week or more.
This time round I included the mapshare offered, and not only were they applied but the update attempt I made about 20 minutes later included some more.
So perhaps not including the mapshare offered with the new map screws up the system for awhile? |

The famous "Hobson's Choice" - screw up the system, or screw up your device. _________________ Dennis

This may well be the case, as I went to update the maps on my TomTom One IQ Routes Edition - Europe yesterday, and although I was offered a Mapshare update at the time, I declined it as I thought it best just to let it update the map on its own first (which took about four hours to complete anyway!).
Imeddiately afterwards, and again this morning I am being advised that "Mapshare connection temporarily unavailable" which is a bit of a pain! |

Same here. Got an email from TT confirming there was an issue with the map updates. Few days later and there they are! |
