I think unticking "Report if Traffic on route changes" (in LIVE Services/HD Traffic/Traffic Preferences) will do it.

You can still opt for it to ask if you want to change to a new route when traffic changes, on the next screen.

I don't have Live services The 530 does not support them, so no HD Traffic (only the 28 day free Tom Tom Traffic Sad
(Same as I have on my Go 500, which I subscribed to, and will almost certainly transfer to the GO530 )
However I found that if I select a recorded human voice, not a computer one, it cannot give that warning.

All x20 and x30 devices support HD Traffic via the Live service, but this can only be used in Holland with a specific type of charger cable, real shame they never rolloed this accessory out to a pan European audience - Mike

x30 units initially went on sale with Navcore 8 installed and a map that contained IQ Routes data so I very much doubt a Navcore 7 install would work correctly given the map contains IQ Routes - Mike

I guess the only way to find out is to try it. Smile

Can you advise me how I can install Navcore 7 ?
I have obtained navcore_7.481.9086.gox20.cab from Oldboys site but I have not worked out a way to install it yet

TT HOME 1 does not recognise it and TT HOME 2 does not seem to have any way of installing things other than by download and installing Rolling Eyes

Use WinRar to extract the files and folders from the cab file straight to the drive letter associated with your device - Mike

I think you need to connect to HOME after installing an older nav-core. HOME will then update to suit that nav-core.

I did that and it installed Tom Tom Work application 8.396 Confused

I've restored the backup I made before installing navcore 7.
I'll have to give this some more thought and also wait for any more suggestions from others.

I've also sent this question to TT Technical support

"I have just bought a refurbished GO530, however I have a third party appliction that I would like to use on it that will only run properly on navcore 7.
I obtained and installed a version of navcore 7 but when I started the unit it said "No maps found"

Can I obtain the last version of navcore 7 that would run on the GO530, and the appropriate version 7 maps and how much will it cost ? "

Silly me, I picked up the wrong unit to write down the menu steps.

Try Change Preferences/Voice Preferences/Speech preferences/read aloud traffic warnings.
Un-tick that and you should be able to go back to a computer voice if you wish.
(That's the same menu structure in v7 and v8 software)

Well, after exchanging maybe 4 or 5 e-mails last week with Tom Tom Technical Support explaining what I wanted to do they asked me to phone and discuss things. The outcome of that was they could not supply me with a version 7 map in any way. So, I'm no further forward Rolling Eyes

Does anyone have a version 7 map suitable for a GO520/530 on an SD card they no longer need, or want to sell, or does anyone know where I can buy one ?

Like Young-Goat my TT500 seems to be getting a bit tired and it seems that I'll soon be replacing it.

The 500 has good sound, loud and clear. Its a bit bulky though and is difficult to carry around.

I'm just wondering if the 750 Live is a good choice certainly want to retain the 3rd party POI for PGPSW cams at least.

Like others I'm just interested in something that navigates. Not bothered about playing MP3 etc.

OK forget the 750 Live the cost of the live service isn't worth it for my usage.

So a 530 looks a better option. A bit more research to be done before I make a final decision.

Take a look at the Navigon 40 premium, Halfords have them at the moment for £99 and just bought one for the wife, and prefer it over my 940!

Nice machine, built in TMC that can actually pick up a signal, and a voucher in the box which will get you 2 years of map updates for about £16!

Have been using this instead of the 940 for the last few days and pretty sure i will be using the Navigon more often than not now.

As a Navigon user, I certainly support paulday's suggestion (I would, wouldn't I? Rolling Eyes ). But be aware that the 40 Premium will only allow you to load 10,000 POIs, ie not ALL PGPSW cameras will fit (and less of course if you have other user POIs you also want to load).

I have loaded just mobiles and redlights - the Navigon cameras, if they are on the 40 Premium, seem pretty reasonable for fixed cameras, though I'm sure they won't be quite as comprehensive as the ones from here.
