I am having the same problem with a Bold 9000. Must be a Telmap issue. |

Aaarghh!!!! I wish I had read this forum bfore ..... I upgraded my OS6 (to 6.0.0.337 for those interested) redownloaded the latest Telmap beta, and got the "saving resources" hang..... I thought it was the OS, and rebooted and reinstalled umpteen times!!! Now, Ill just wait. Hopefully will be fixed before I go to Switzerland next week!! _________________

Same here!
I just upgraded my 9700 Bold to the new OS6 and now Telmap hangs with "saving resources". Some days ago everything was fine!
Hopefully it will be fixed in the near future...
Btw: A couple of weeks ago I switched from my 8110 to my new 9700.
Telmap 5 is much, much, much better than 4.5 - so I hope we can use it again as fast as possible... |

As posted a few days ago (this seems like the same issue):
Hi Forum,
We have received several reports from users having problems with downloading and installing our latest release of Telmap5.
We are working to find a solution and I will update on the forum when we do. Please bear with us.
Registration for new members is suspended until we find a solution.
Thanks

It will be interesting to see how many days it takes for Telmap to solve this problem. It is a good thing that this is only beta testing! |

Guys we cant complain. This is exactly why we're beta testers and in return we get to trial a great product (normally) for free. |

Agreed. The sad bit is that it's the version update process that causes the issues just as it did a few months ago. The Telmap developers do not appeared to have learned from that. |

As part of beta testing, I think that 'reliability' is probably the most important feature that is being evaluated. Telmap 5 seems to have failed that test at the moment.
Obviously their priority for fixing betas is lower than their released versions, but long term outages are not encouraging. I'm looking forward to testing the next working version. |

Hello,
This may work for some Blackberry Users.
I had both errors on my 9700 - namely "Synchronising Resources" and "Saving Resources" but have a fix that worked (for me anyway):
1)Do a battery pull then Restart Blackberry. Do NOT start Telmap yet.
2)Go to Options (spanner icon)
3)Click on Applications
4)Click on TElMAP5
5)Click ON Edit Permissions. Make Sure each of the 3 values Connection, Interactions and User data are set to ALLOW
Restart TelMap - should work if not follow this link where it came from:
http://downloads.telmap.com/tug/faq/FAQSupport.html#InternalError
Cheers
Mogul

Thanks for sharing this Mogul.
I think I'll wait until they fix their software so that a workaround is not required. Telmap can't market an app that doesn't install cleanly and works the first time, can they? |

I also got it working, on my Torch, after many "synchronizing" and "saving" resource hangs. All I did was (and I hadn't attempted to start Telmap since previous reboot), go to the application management, pressed the Blackberry button, and edit default permissions, set them all to "allow" (which 2 were on "custom"), pressed the Blackberry button again, and I applied defaults to all applications, backed out, started Telmap, it synchronized resources for a minute or so, and then, asked for Telmap app permissions, and then all went well. I should note that, just for cleanliness sake, I rebooted again, all was still fine, but, went to edit default permissions, and, the 2 custom fields (first 2) were back again.
Anyway, Telmap fires up fine now. _________________
