Would they expect any other business to refund the difference if they'd bought an item two weeks prior to a price drop? Asda, Tesco, WH Smiths perhaps?

Agree totally. I cannot believe that some are upset about not receiving a refund of the difference. Whilst the reduction is very welcome, they are worried about a sum equivalent to the cost of 1/2 gallon of petrol!
Even at the higher price it is a very good service. |

While it is good to save where you can I for one think the price of £19.99 very keen and for a great product with great support. I will not be claiming any reduction and am happy to pay the £19.99 annual sub for maintaining a great service (caveat: unless I find a speed camera you're yet to get - not easy ;-)
Spend my £3 on a pint for Darren for ploughing through all those emails from "irate subscribers demanding we refund them £3" - tightwads. |

Sorry I am a bit confused. I couldn't remember whether I had a subscription or was paying annually. Just looked at my Paypal account and it shows me I created a sub in Jan 2009 for £16.99. I guess the price went up since or that was a special offer when I created it. Do I need to cancel that one and create a new one for the same amount or will that one just renew at that rate in Jan 2011? |

We had a similar seasonal reduction at this time last year.
As you took advantage of it then and assuming it is still running, i.e. you haven't cancelled it, then you will renew automatically at that rate anyway so no need for further action.
The benefit of recurring payments is that you are locked in at the starting rate and so are protected from price increases. _________________ Darren Griffin |

My sub is due in 37 days 22 hours 13 minutes and one second. Will I qualify for the reduction? |

If you renew before the offer expires your new one-year sub will be added to your remaining sub, and future PayPal recurring payments of £16.99 will be made on the new expiry date. _________________ Anita

Everyone qualifies, but those with existing auto-renewal agreements need to check what rate they are set at and cancel prior to renewal if they are higher and wish to take advantage of the promotional price. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I hope you checked you didn't have an existing auto-renewal in place? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I've added 3mths to your sub to compensate for your missing out. You'll need to ensure you cancel the auto-renewal to take advantage of it though. Do that via your PayPal account. _________________ Darren Griffin |
